FEA Endorses Smith for School board

Fairfax Education Association President Richard J. Baumgartner announced that the Association's Government Relations Council has endorsed Kathy L. Smith for School Board in Sully district and that the Associations political action arm will be working on her behalf. "Smith is an outstanding choice for Sully. While she is in clear agreement with the issues and principles of concern to Fairfax County teachers and school employees, Smith will put students first. At the same time, she is in touch with the views and concerns of Sully parents and will be a fine representative for all," said Baumgartner. "Smith is a listener and a consensus builder. We believe Smith will work full-time and non-stop to help Fairfax County schools retain and improve on their level of quality in the classroom. She will be a real asset on the School Board."
